Artificial Intelligence
What is Artificial Intelligence?
Artificial Intelligence is a branch of computer science that enables a computer to think or act in a ‘human’ way, such as the ability to reason, discover meaning or learn from past experience, rationalize and take actions that have the best chance of achieving a specific goal. AI is an umbrella term that encompasses a range of technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP). Artificial intelligence is based on the principle that human intelligence can be defined in a way that a machine can easily mimic it and execute tasks. To do so, AI systems need to process massive amounts of labelled training data analysing it for correlations and patterns then follow up on the insights derived from these data.
AI is being used today across different industries, Business, Healthcare, Architecture, Construction, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality. In general, AI application works covers fascinating topics, from how we design intelligent machines to what our future might look like when these machines are more ubiquitous than humans with a variety of subfields including web search engines, recommendation systems, Automatic Speech Recognition and high-level strategic games. AI is continuously evolving to benefit many different industries. Machines are wired using a cross-disciplinary approach based on mathematics, computer science, linguistics, psychology, and more.

Artificial Intelligence main types:
Artificial Intelligence mimics human characteristics, machines are learning what human beings do. This field of science studies the human brain; it’s learning how humans work, decide, and solve problems. All artificial intelligence characteristics whether hypothetical or real can be divided into two different categories: weak and strong:
Weak artificial intelligence embodies a system designed to carry out one particular job. It is programmed to execute a single task; it cannot perform more than one unless it is informed to do so. A specific dataset helps ANI to pull out the information being asked — whether it is to write a press-release, analyse raw data, or simply figure out the weekly weather condition. Weak AI systems include video games such as the chess and personal assistants such as Amazon’s Alexa and Apple’s Siri. You can ask the assistant a question, and it responds to you. Strong AI, on the other hand, is amongst the types of Artificial Intelligence that can achieve any task a human being can accomplish.

Different Types of Weak AI
Weak AI can either be reactive or have a limited amount of memory.
Reactive AI: It is the basic version, having no memory or data storage capabilities. It emulates the human mind’s behaviour and responds to different interpretations without any prior experience.
Limited Memory AI: It is more advanced, having great memory and data storage capabilities enabling machines to interpret precisely using statistical data. Most of the AI is the Limited Memory AI, enabling machines to use a large amount of data especially in the domains of Deep Learning to give results with utmost accuracy.

Artificial Intelligence Benefits
AI has many benefits for various fields and domains. AI can be used to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of decision-making and to improve lives through new apps and services. such as enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of decision-making and problem-solving, enabling multi-tasking and easing the workload for existing resources, operating without interruption or breaks, optimizing the entire micro segmentation lifecycle, allowing for a quicker time-to-value and ongoing agility, thereby enhancing the productivity of security. In Healthcare systems, AI can help improve the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases, such as detecting cancer, developing vaccines, and monitoring patients. In Digital marketing, it can help optimize the online presence, content, and campaigns of businesses, such as personalizing ads, generating leads, and analysing customer behaviour. While it can help increase efficiency, quality, and safety of production and manufacturing processes, such as automating tasks, reducing errors, and predicting maintenance.

Limitations of Narrow AI
Weak AI has limitations because of its limited capabilities which add to the prospect of causing harm if a system fails. If we take into account an example of a driverless car that calculates the location of oncoming vehicles but somehow it miscalculates the location which causes a deadly collision or a system failure if it is used by some third party or destructive organizations, then it can lead to enormous destructions to the human mankind. Another drawback is to determine the faulty identity for a malfunction or a design flaw.
A further concern is regarding the huge loss of jobs caused by the automatic functionality and performance of an increasing number of tasks. Slowly the machines are taking over human manpower for intelligent automation through AI. So it must be thought-provoking that whether there will be an increase in the job opportunities or the machines will gradually take over the entire physical manpower with the emerging levels of AI.
